Charmi Kaur is one of the hot tollywood actresses in India. Charmi Kaur has acted with almost all the top most heroes in south India.Charmi was born on 17th May 1987 in Punjab. Charmi studied in Carmelite Convent English High School, Vasai.
Charmi acted in her first film, ‘Nee Thodu Kaavali’ (released March 2002), where she acted as a house wife. This film was a big flop, but helped Charmi get noticed by the south Indian film industry. Charmi’s next film was Kadal Azhavatillai with Silambarasan which was also flopped.During this time Charmi acted in a Malayalam film directed by vinayan named ‘Kattuchembakam’. This film also bombed in box office. After that Charmi acted in a couple more Tamil films but they bombed at the box office.
Charmi re-entry to Telugu movies happened with Sri Anjaneyam, directed by ace director Krishna Vamsi. This too was a failed attempt. It was followed by another failure with Chanti, paired against Ravi Teja. Charmi finally got a big break in Telugu with Gowri in which she paired with Sumanth. Charmi didn't have to look back afterwards. The stupendous success of Mass with Nagarjuna strengthened her position in Tollywood. Charmi finally found success with the Telugu movie ‘Gowri’ and then Mass with Nagarjuna. Charmi’s most disappointing movie till now was Anukokunda Oka Roju and her performance was criticized.Charmi’s dancing skills were appreciated in the movie ‘Pournami’ (2006).
Charmi’s film Rakhi (2006) with Jr. NTR was a huge hit. She dubbed her own voice. Charmi again gave a good performance in the movie Mantra (2007). Surely charming Charmy has cast her charm on the Telugu audienceCharmi has received awards for Best Actress for Mantra and also the Santosham Best Actress Award for Anukokunda Oka Roju.
