Anushka Shetty is one of the hot and top tollywood actresses in India. Anushka Shetty is an actress and yoga instructor, who received acclaim for her role in Arundhati. Anushka shetty also known as Sweety shetty to her close friends.
Anushka Shetty was born in a Tulu speaking family in Mangalore. She did her schooling and college in Bangalore. Anushka speaks Telugu, Hindi and Tamil as well.
Anushka is a graduate in computer applications from Mount Carmel College and has also trained in yoga under Bharat Thakur and now takes yoga classes.
Anushka started her career in 2005 Telugu film ‘Super’, it done very well at box office. In 2006, Anushka acted in the movie ‘Vikramarkudu’, the film went on to become very successful and got her much recognition that eventually made her very popular in Andhra Pradesh. Then she acted in three films, which are ‘Astram’, ‘Rendu’ and special appearance in ‘Stalin’.
In 2007, Anushka acted in ‘Lakshyam’ and ‘Don’ which did very well at the box office.
In 2008, she acted in six films, ‘Okka Magaadu’, ‘Swagatham’, ‘Baladoor’, ‘Souryam’, ‘Chintakayala Ravi’ and ‘King’. Overall the movies did average at the box office.
In 2009, Anushka Shetty first starred in the film ‘Arundati’. The film, a heroine-centric film, in which she essayed two roles for the first time, was a critical as well as commercial success. Her performance, as Jejamma in particular, was highly critically acclaimed and fetched her first Nandi Award. Anushka’s next film was ‘Billa’, in that she performed contrary role.
